Abubakar: My name is Abubakar.

Abubakar: I am 23 years old.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: What is your gender?
Abubakar: I am male.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: How many people are in your family?
Abubakar: There are eight members in my family.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: Where were you living in Sudan?
Abubakar: I was living in Orom.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: What is the last level of education you completed?
Abubakar: I graduated from high school.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: When did you arrive in Chad?
Abubakar: I arrived in Chad in 2003.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: How many years have you spent in the camp?
Abubakar: I have spent 21 years in the camp.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: What are the difficulties you face in the camp, especially in terms of food, health, and security?
Abubakar:
Food: We are facing famine because some of the refugee cards have been stopped from receiving food distribution.
Health: There is no treatment for some illnesses.
Security: Security is somewhat available inside the camp.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: What does your daily life look like in the camp?
Abubakar: My daily life in the camp is without work.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: Is there a difference between life in Sudan and life in the camp for your children? If yes, what is the difference?
Abubakar: I don’t have children.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: Are there concerns in the camp, especially for children?
Abubakar: Yes, there are concerns. How? There are no centers like kindergartens, and children are in the streets all the time.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: What is the general health condition of your family?
Abubakar: Their health is unstable.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: What are your most important needs?
Abubakar: My most important needs are to join a university and further my education.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: How do you want your future to be?
Abubakar: I want to be an educated, free person without restrictions.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: How do you want your children's future to be?
Abubakar: I want them to be successful in life.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: Tell me about the organizations working in the camp.
Abubakar: The organizations working in the camp are JRS, FLM, WFP, and HIAS.
AMPLIFi Storyteller: What are the struggles that refugees face?
Abubakar: Refugees suffer from a lack of education, the absence of specialized doctors, and the organizations not paying attention to the needs of refugees who are facing difficult living conditions.
