iACT’s annual fundraising event, impACT, we will celebrate 15 Years in Community. iACT as it exists today began 15 years ago on the beaches of Los Angeles, with a dream that an NGO could be built on trust, relationships, and the premise that refugees themselves are the experts in their communities. We have been working since that day to resource, partner with, and amplify the voices of refugee and conflict-affected communities as we work together to create soccer and early childhood education programs.
Our founders, Gabriel Stauring and Katie-Jay Scott, envisioned an organization founded on a culture of participation. Today, we continue to prioritize relationships first, above all else, and find joy in the act of working together. Through our founders’ vision, a beautiful and strong community of volunteers, team members, donors, and partners has emerged.
impACT is an event that offers guests from the South Bay, Los Angeles, and beyond to be part of this crucial, transformative, and often under-prioritized work. Our guests join us for an evening celebrating the meaningful impact of iACT programs with dinner, an open bar, live music, and amazing guest speakers.
We are so glad you’re here, and we hope you stick around for the next 15 years!
