Announcing iACT’s Newest Team Members!

I’d like to introduce the newest coaches of the Refugees United Soccer Academy! These four women and men hail from Darfuri camp Iridimi, and will be training boys and girls there in soccer skills, mindfulness exercises, health and hygiene practices, and peacebuilding.

Fatna Sabir Ali Age: 19 Highest level of school completed: grade 11 Not married Why she wanted to be an Academy coach: “I love sports.”

Idriss Jouma Souliman Age: 24 Highest level of school completed: grade 12 Married, with a two-year-old daughter Why he wanted to be an Academy coach: “I used to play with children, and all the the children know me. I like to help children have fun.”

Nouha Daoud Omer Age: 19 Highest level of school completed: grade 11 Not married Why she wanted to be an Academy coach: “I want to help children so that one day they can be like me. One day, they will participate in an international tournament and remember that I was their coach.”

Abdallah Ibrahim Abaker Age: 27 Highest level of school completed: grade 12 Not married Why he wanted to be an Academy coach: “I love children very much, and the Academy is for children.”
