iACT Joins Angel City FC in Paris, France, for Equity Summit

LOS ANGELES, July 25, 2024 - iACT will join Angel City FC, Keynote Speaker Malala Yousafzai, and leaders across sport for the Equity Summit on July 29 in Paris, France. This is the second annual Equity Summit hosted by Angel City FC, with the aim of “furthering its commitment to meaningful conversations and actionable change for gender equity in sports and beyond.”

10% of the event’s sponsorship dollars will go towards iACT’s Refugees United Soccer Academy (RUSA), a community-led program rooted in trauma-informed care, strength-based coaching, gender equality, inclusion, and a uniting passion for soccer.

Angel City FC is an existing sponsor of iACT’s RUSA program in Reynosa, Mexico, enabling girls and boys living in displacement the opportunity to participate joyfully in soccer daily.

When it comes to gender equity, iACT takes intentional action to challenge existing power structures and create opportunities for women and girls to stand in their own power. 50% of all iACT soccer coaches are women who are creating safe and inviting spaces for young girls to come and play.

“The women and girls iACT works next to and supports have experienced first-hand the horrors of war and displacement as well as the joy and transformative and healing power of sport, yet the world so rarely hears their stories. I’m honored to have the opportunity to amplify their voices in the conversations at the Equity Summit." - Sara-Christine Dallain
