Some of us are literally from Darfur. Others are standing in solidarity with Darfuris and all refugees and displaced people around the world that have been forced from their homes—but who continue to strive for peace, protection, and justice. Recently, the word “refugee” has been turned negative and into something to be feared. We know that refugees—children, women, and men—are only looking for hope and opportunity for a life of dignity and peace. #WeAreDarfur is a mosaic of people that calls for open arms in welcoming and supporting refugees everywhere.
